Recorded in 1969 and re-released in 2008, YODELING ASTROLOGER represents the off-kilter folk stylings of MIJ, who yodels up a storm throughout the album. Reportedly, a car crash left Holmberg partially deaf but with visionary capabilities, and the artist's tendency to skirt the outer limits is captured with multi-tracking and reverb, creating eerie, far-out effects. Though not for everyone, the album should appeal to those who like Randy Burns and Vashti Bunyan.
